Multirel embarks on new growth phase with expanded ownership base
Multirel Oy, a leading technical wholesaler in the electrical industry, is entering its next growth phase with an expanded ownership base. The company has partnered with Helmet Capital, with a group of investors represented by Helmet Capital becoming a significant shareholder.
The company specializes in supplying transformers, compensation equipment and other electrical equipment alongside offering related services to energy companies, network operators and industry across Finland. As the Finnish energy system evolves, with increasing decentralization and fluctuating generation capacities, there is a growing demand for solutions to measure and manage power quality.
” This partnership presents exciting new opportunities for us to address the expanding market demand and enhance our product and service offerings”, says entrepreneur Anders Arte.
The transition in ownership will not impact existing customer or principal relationships. Mikael Forsblom, who has worked in the company since 2016, has been appointed as the new CEO in connection with the arrangement. Anders Arte will continue in the company as CFO/Sales Director and as a major shareholder. The Board has been strengthened with representatives from the new shareholder group, as well as with Kari Kuusela, an independent industry expert.
“Multirel is a respected and trusted supplier in Finland with robust international principal relationships and impressive customer references from various segments. This cooperation will enable the company to further develop and enhance its business capabilities”, comments Sampo Ahonen, Partner at Helmet Capital.
