Versatile know-how and international business experience to Helmet Capital

Ilkka Starck joined the Helmet Capital team in June as a Partner and Board member. He moved to Helmet from the position of CEO of an international software company (formerly Profit Software, now Evitec). Ilkka worked for Evitec for a total of 13 years and continues as a member of the Board. Ilkka has a master’s degree in engineering.

Ilkka has versatile know-how and experience especially in the products and services of the software industry, and experience in management positions in several companies in Finland, Sweden, the United States and Germany. He has made several acquisitions and mergers in his career. Ilkka has been very familiar with Helmet Capital for years, also as an investor in Helmet’s portfolio companies. Helmet’s operating model and investment model are therefore already familiar to him.

Ilkka says that he brings a new kind of industry expertise and international business experience as well as valuable contacts to Helmet Capital. He is most excited about his new type of work-life role. “After a long time as CEO and operational tasks – and of course all this life experience – it’s wonderful to be able to use all my accumulated skills in a variety of ways in Board work.”
