Anders Hallgren appointed as CEO of Finnish project consultant Fimpec’s Swedish operations
“In Sweden we will focus on the energy and industrial sectors”
The Finnish project management and engineering group Fimpec has appointed
Anders Hallgren to lead the development of Fimpec’s operations in Sweden.
Fimpec serves as a project consultant in major investment projects in the
industrial and energy industries, and as an expert in the real estate and
infrastructure sectors.
Earlier this year, Fimpec expanded its Swedish operations with the acquisition of
Byggnadsekonomi, a leading provider of consultancy services in the field of
building information modelling (BIM). The idea behind recruiting Anders Hallgren
as the new CEO of Fimpec AB is to rapidly develop the operations with a view to
become a major player in a market where energy and industrial issues are
increasingly gaining in importance.
Hallgren is an engineer by education and joins Fimpec from the position of CEO
of the Swedish operations of WT Energisysteme, a German company primarily
specialising in the construction of transformer stations. He has long-standing and
broad-ranging experience from executive positions in the energy sector,
including companies such as ÅF and Westinghouse. Hallgren will take on his
new position on 1st August 2022.
Lars Sandberg, who has been responsible for Fimpec’s Swedish operations
since 2020, will focus entirely on the energy sector, working closely together with
Hallgren while the operations in Sweden are being built.
“I am thrilled to join Fimpec and lead its journey in Sweden. I believe I have a lot
of experience that I can put to good use and I must say that Fimpec’s strategy for
the Swedish operations is very well thought out and forward-looking. They have
really shown what they are made of in Finland and I am convinced the same
approach will work well in Sweden too. Without getting ahead of myself, I can
say that the idea is to primarily focus on the energy and industrial sectors in
Sweden,” says the CEO-elect for the Swedish operations, Anders Hallgren.
“We are happy to have Anders onboard to develop the Swedish operations
further. He has the required broad experience and can quickly build the good
corporate culture that is essential for any growing unit operating in a new
market,” says Antti Lukka, CEO of Fimpec Group Oy.
